History and Galleries: Mr. Konopka was an art teacher of watercolor painting and sketching for eight years at the Adult Evening Education Program
in Clifton High School, Clifton, New Jersey. He has had watercolor demonstrations at the Clifton Woman's Club, at Chancellor Park (Senior Adults
Home), Park Ridge; the Clifton Toastmasters Club and exhibits at Clifton and Montclair "Art in the Park" contest, NJ; as well winning many 1st Place Awards
one of which being at Hoffmann-La Roche of Nutley, NJ; Shop Gallery, Westport Connecticut; the Ridgewood Art Institute, Ridgewood, NJ; Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania; Barnes & Noble, Paramus, NJ; the Society of Aviation Artists exhibit, Hilton Hotel Morristown, NJ and the River Edge, Public Library, NJ.
His art was on display at the Sotheby Parke Bernet Gallery in New York City in conjunction with the "Thirteen Collection Auction" on Channel Thirteen, and at
the State Capital Hall in Trenton, New Jersey; Roseland Corporate Center, NJ, and St. Johns on the Mountain, Bernardsville, NJ. He was a member of the Arts
Council of North West-Essex, NJ and was a Sustaining Associates member of American Watercolor Society, NY. His studio is in Ridgefield Park New Jersey. He has painted many homes and distinguished areas such as the, "City Hall" of River Edge owned by the former Mayor and other historical markers as "The Old View" for the Knights of Columbus as the visible memory of their building's history and many other sites in River Edge and was at the Gallery IV in the
Garden State Plaza, Paramus, NJ.
